Patna : Patna experienced the coldest day of the season recording a minimum temperature of 7.1 degree Celsius on January 2, 2018. The lowest minimum temperature recorded in Bihar on January 2 was 6.4 degree C at Chhapra in Saran district in North Bihar. The Met Department has forecast cold wave conditions at isolated places in Bihar on January 4 and 5.
While the minimum temperature at Patna was 7.1 degree C, its maximum temperature was 16.5 degree C, 5.1 notches below the normal temperature. Gaya recorded minimum temperature of 8.8 degree C, while Bhagalpur and Purnia recorded 7.3 and 9.9 degree C minimum temperature respectively, according to Met office sources. Patna has been witnessing dense to very dense fog for the past five-six days. Patna and Purnia are likely to experience cold day on January 3.
