Patna : The Governor -cum- Chancellor of state universities Ram Nath Kovind on March 20, 2017, appointed new Vice-chancellors for Lalit Narain Mithila University (LNMU), Darbhanga, Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU), Bhagalpur, and Magadh University (MU), Bodh Gaya. Prof S K Singh has been appointed the VC of LNMU while Prof Nalini Kant Jha has been appointed the VC of TMBU. Prof Qamar Ahsan has been made the VC of MU.
All of them will have a tenure of three years which will start from the day they assume charge of their new assignment. These appointments have been made on the basis of interaction with candidates figuring in the panel recommended by the Search Committee and an effective and positive consultation with the state government.
