Samastipur : A cement dealer Rajesh Kumar Singh alias Raju, 45, was shot dead by six unidentified criminals riding two bikes near Shivra on August 10, 2021, late evening, in Samastipur town. He died on the spot and police sent the body for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital, Samastipur.
SDPO, Sadar, Pritish Kumar, said that Rajesh Kumar was running a cement shop on NH 28 and he was shot dead by bike borne criminals when he was returning to Samastipur Town. Police are investigating the case. The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. It is said that Rajesh was keen to contest the upcoming panchayat elections.
