New Delhi : The result of 7th UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) Examination declared  on July 31, 2018, by CBSE. The result has been declared in record time. Altogether 55,872 have qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor. This includes 3,929 candidates who have qualified for JRF too.

The 7th UGC NET examination was conducted by CBSE on July 8, 2018 across 91 cities in the country. The examination was conducted in 84 different subjects. A total number of 11,48,235 candidates had registered for this examination. The number was the largest among the past examinations of UGC NET, according to a PIB release. In order to facilitate quick employment of eligible candidates, the result has been declared in record time of 3 weeks.

There were 2082 examination centres across the country. A total number of 2,864 observers and 675 Board’s officials were deputed at these centres to oversee the smooth and fair conduct of examination.This time there was a change in the exam pattern to reduce the burden on examinees. Instead of 3 papers, there were 2 papers (Paper I & Paper II) only.

As per the UGC policy, 6% of those candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both papers are declared NET qualified. The certificates to the qualified candidates will be issued by UGC.
