Saharsa : A CBI team from Delhi, which reached Saharsa on August 26, 2017, in connection with its probe into multi-crore Srijan fund scam, visited Special Land Acquisition Ofiice, Saharsa, on August 28 and studied documents related to the scam.

The CBI team, which stayed there for 80 minutes, asked the Special Land Acquisition Officer Raj Kumar Gupta to make available all the documents to it. The CBI team gave a list of documents including those of period before 2012 -13 to the Special Land Acquisition Officer. Two hours later, the CBI team called the Special Land Acquisition Officer with all the documents at its camp office at Saharsa located near the airstrip. The CBI officials, after perusing the documents, feel the scam is a complex one and needs a thorough probe.

The CBI team also met Saharsa DM Vinod Singh Gunjiyal at collectorate on August 28 afternoon. The CBI team has asked for an almirah from the district administration to keep the scam related documents inside it. Before visiting the Special Land Acquisition office, the probe team visited Sadar police station, Saharsa, to get the information about the police probe into the Srijan scam from SHO, Bhai Bharat. The CBI team has collected the copy of the FIR lodged by the district administration with Sadar police station in connection with the scam. Special Land Acquisition Officer, Saharsa, Raj Kumar Gupta, said that all the scam related documents was handed over to the CBI on August 28.
