Patna : RJD supremo and former Railways Minister Lalu Prasad on July 7, 2017, alleged that PM Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah had orchestrated the CBI raids on 12 location including at his Patna residence on the day to politically finish him.

“The CBI conducted raids at the behest of PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to politically finish me. But, I am ready to get hanged but won’t let them succeed,” Lalu told reporters after arriving here late in the evening from Ranchi. He was flanked by his son Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi  Yadav and senior party leader and minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui at the presser at 10, Circular Road, the official residence of former CM Rabri Devi where a 27-member CBI team had conducted raid for more than 10 hours on July 7.

Lalu asked why the CBI was implicating Tejaswi, who was a minor at the time when the allotment of IRCTC hotels at Puri and Ranchi were made to private persons, and his wife Rabri Devi, who did not hold any public office then.

Replying to a query regarding the impact of the raids on the future of the alliance government headed by Nitish Kumar in Bihar, Lalu said the Grand Alliance is intact. ” What he coalition has to do with the raids,” Lau said.

Tejaswi, during the presser, shouted at a reporter of a new English news channel for coming to the event when they are boycotting it. asHe also called the channel “anti-national” but was stopped by Lalu.
