Sitamarhi: Unidentified armed criminals committed dacoity at the house of a medicine dealer Ravi Shankar Prasad located in Ward-4 at Bairgania block headquarters in Sitamarhi district on February 22, 2018. The dacoits looted jewellery and cash worth over Rs 10 ten lakh from Prasad’s house.
The dacoits entered the house by breaking open varandah grill, took the family members at gunpoint and looted jewellery, cash and other valuables for half an hour. According to Inspector Sanjiv Kumar Gupta, a dog squad has been pressed into service to arrest the criminals involved in the dacoity while one Sharda Devi has been detained.
