Buxar : Buxar SP Neeraj Kumar Singh has suspended three police personnel including a Station House Officer (SHO) for dereliction of duty after death of six persons due to consumption of hooch in the district on January 26, 2022.
The SP suspended SHO, Murar police station (PS), Manoranjan Prasad, a Chwokidar, and a police constable in connection of death of six persons after consumption of spurious liquor. Police are investigating the matter. It was said that the liquor was smuggled from outside the district.
It may be mentioned here six persons died while three others fell ill after consuming spurious liquor at a party at village Amsari under Murar PS under Dumraon Sub-Division in Buxar District in South Bihar on January 26, 2022. Villagers said that all had allegedly taken country made liquor prepared with homeopathic medicine
