Buxar residents foil kidnapping bid, 1 kidnapper held

Ara : The Buxar residents foiled a kidnapping bid by two youth on November 13, 2019, and caught one of them, Prashant Pandey, thrashed him and then handed him over to police. But, Prashant’s accomplice managed to escape. They had tried to kidnap an eight year old girl, daughter of Bhola Pandey of Hanumannagar under Buxar Town police Station, when she was going to market with her friend on November 13.

Prashant Pandey is son of Shaligram Pandey of Badaki Nainijor under Buxar Town police station in Buxar district. SHO, Buxar Muffasil police station, said that Riya, daughter of Bhola Pandey of Hanuman Nagar under Buxar Town police station, was going to market along with her friend when Prashant Pandey caught her at a place under Muffasil police station and tried to kidnap her but the girl raised an alarm. Hearing her cry, the locals caught Prashant Pandey and thrashed him though his friend escaped from the scene.

The locals handed Prashant over to Buxar Town police station but the Buxar Town police station handed him over to Buxar Muffasil police station. A named FIR has been lodged with Buxar Muffassil police station in this connection and police sent Prashant to jail after interrogation. The SHO said that police were investigating the matter.
