Buxar : Buxar police arrested four criminals and recovered a looted Pick-Up van, a motorcycle, a countrymade pistol, one mobile phone, SIM card, and Rs 300 cash from their possession on January 24, 2021, from Giridih District in Jharkhand.

The arrested miscreants were identified as Rohit Dubey, son of Amar Nath Dubey of Badaka Dhakaich village; Deepak Kumar, son of Sriniwas Singh of Dubauli; Jhaman Ram, son of Raju Ram of Jarigaon;  and Rohit Kumar, son of Sanjay Ram of Jarigaon village under Buxar Muffasil police station (PS) some in Buxar district.

Buxar SP Neeraj Kumar Singh said that motorcycle borne miscreants had looted a Pick-Up van, cash, and mobile phone from near Nawaagaon Bridge at Pawani village under Buxar Muffasil PS on January 18, 2021, from Jamshed Khan, son of Manaan Khan, at pistol point. An FIR was lodged with Buxar Muffasil police station in this connection.

The SP said that he took the matter seriously and formed a police team under the SDPO. Following mobile surveillance, the police team reached Giridih in Jharkhand and recovered looted Pick-Up van bearing , mobile phone, SIM card, one motorcycle used in the loot, and Rs 300 cash.

Police also arrested the mastermind of the crime Rohit Dubey, son of Amar Nath Dubey of Badaka Dhakaich who at present lives at Pandey Patti. He had criminal history. Police also arrested three other miscreants : Deepak Kumar, Jhaman Ram,and Rohit Kumar, in connection with the loot. On the revelation of Rohit Kumar during interrogation, police conducted raid at his residence and recovered a countrymade pistol and two .315 caliber cartridges.
