Buxar DM taking help from third gender to make district ODF

Buxar: The third gender will now play a pivotal role in making the Buxar district Open Defecation Free (ODF). Buxar District Magistrate Raman Kumar planned to use the third genders to make people aware of importance of ODF.

He said that at least one dozen panchayats in the district have been declared ODF so far and the district administration is getting lavatories constructed at each  village at a faster pace under Plan ‘A’. But a section of people still are going in the open to defecate. The DM said he has started plan `B’ and the third genders, who are also a part of this society, are being involved  the plan. He said that the third genders will put the people going in the open for defecation to shame in their own style and for this they will be imparted training first.
