Buxar : Additional District and Sessions Judge I, Buxar, Rajesh Narayan Sewak Pandey on February 8 took cognizance and ordered to start session against 10 persons including the JD(U) MLA from Dumraon in Buxar district Dadan Yadav under section 307 IPC in connection with alleged assault on Ram Jee Singh about 12 years ago. The court separated the file of one Bhuar Yadav as he could not appear before the court due to his illness.

Dadan Yadav along with his associates had allegedly beaten up and injured his opponent Ram Jee Singh in  2005 during assembly elections. Ram Jee Singh had filed a named FIR against 11 persons including Dadan Yadav with   Dumraon police station. Though one person died during the pendency of the case, the court had ordered all the 10 accused on January 27, 2017, to remain present in person in the court on February 8, 2017.

The advocate of Dadan Yadav sought time from the court on the plea that one of the accused Bhuar Yadav was admitted to Saroj Hospital in New Delhi hence could not appear before the court. But the court turned down his request and separated the file of Bhuar Yadav instead and ordered the other 10 accused namely Dadan Yadav, Madan Yadav, Subodh Yadav, Laxman Turaha, Laxman Yadav, Ram Bachan Yadav, Khushi Mahto, Akhtar Hussain, Manoj Yadav and Bheem Yadav to remain present in the court in person. After taking cognizance, the court said that session will be started against them from next date.
