Busta & Bublik enter final of ATP Chengdu Open

Patna : World No 63 Pablo Carreno Busta, 28, Spain, upset World No 34 Denis Shapovalov, 20, Canada, the 8th seed, in straight sets to enter the final of Chengdu Open, an ATP 250 Points tournament on hard courts,in China, on September 28, 2019. He will face World No 71 Alexander Bublik, 22, Kazakhstan, in the final on September 29, 2019.

Busta beat Shapovalov 6-3, 6-4 in 63 minutes in the semi-finals. The Canadian, however, hammered 12 Aces in the match to 2 by Busta, who won 2 break points besides winning 3 games in a row.The Spanioard won 42 service points to 31 by the Canadian.

Bublik beat World No 11 Lloyd Harris, 22, South Africa, 7-6, 6-4 in 85 minutes in the semi-finals. Bublik hammered 21 Aces in the match to 5 by Harris. Bublik though also committed 9 double faults. Bublik won 2 break points to 1 by Harris. Both the players won 3 games each in a row in the match.
