Businessman shot dead in Bhojpur, no arrest

Ara : Bike borne unidentified miscreants waylaid and shot dead a businessman at Nathmalpur Bazaar under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district in a broad daylight on December 29, 2019,  when he was going to open his shop.

Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. An FIR has been lodged with Barhara police station and police are investigating into the matter. The deceased was identified as Sriman Narayan, 24, son of late Ram Kumar Gupta of village Nathamalpur under Barhara police station.

SHO, Barhara police station, said that Sriman Narayan was going to Nathmalpur Bazaar from his native village Nathmalpur  in on December 29 morning. When he reached Nathmalpur Bazaar, some unidentified armed miscreants shot at him and escaped from the scene. The locals rushed him to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctors there referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in view of his critical condition but he succumbed to his injuries on way to Patna.
