Nawada: A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau team headed by DSP Suresh Paswan nabbed a Block Programme Officer (BPO), MNREGA, Kashichak, in Nawada district, Vinod Kumar Suman, while accepting Rs 10,000 cash as bribe from a mukhia Manoj Kumar on December 12, 2017, morning. The MNREGA official was arrested from a room of Mahamaya Hotel in Nawada town located barely a 300 metres away from Nawada Town police station.
According to the Vigilance Bureau DSP, a complaint was lodged by Manoj Kumar, a local mukhia under Kashichak block in Nawada district, that the Block Programme Officer ( MNREGA) Vinod Kumar Suman had allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from him to clear payment of a road-cum-culvert construction under the MNREGA scheme. Vinod Kumar Suman was nabbed red-handed while accepting a part payment of Rs 10,000 cash. He was whisked away to the state capital.
