Bagaha: BPCC Observer for parliamentary polls Birendra Singh Rathore on February 28, 2019, claimed that the Mahagathabandhan (Grand Alliance) would definitely win the Valmikinagar Parliamentary seat in the Lok Sabha elections wresting it from National  Democratic Alliance (NDA). He reviewed the Congress workers preparation for the poll on February 28 at Bagaha.

Rathore was accompanied  by Amit Kumar`Tunna’,  MLA from Riga in Sitamarhi district, West Champaran MLC Rajesh Ram, and West Champaran District Congress Committee President Narender Kumar Sharma. He reached Bagaha after visiting different parliamentary constituencies including Hajipur, Samastipur, Purvi Champaran, and Paschmi Champaran. He met booth, panchayat, and block level congress workers at Town Hall to seek their suggestions on the polls.

The members of two rival groups of Congress party had heated exchange during Rathore’s Bagaha visit though a clash was averted due to intervention of Riga MLA Amit Kumar Tunna and others.

Rathore requested Bihar Government to help the farmers of west champaran whose standing Sugarcane, Wheat, Vegetable and other crops were damaged due to hailstorm that lashed the entire district.
