Khagaria : Serial blasts near Bakhri Bus Stand under Town Police Station (PS), Khagaria, rocked the town on February 24, 2022, afternoon. About a dozen persons were injured in massive explosions near Bakhri Bus Stand under Town PS, Khagria, in North Bihar, at around 4.45 pm on February 24.
All the injured were rushed to Sadar Hospital, Khagaria, after the explosion where two of the injured : Sanjay Sada and Karelal Sada, were referred to bigger hospital after first aid.
The serial blasts took place soon after Satish Kumar, who had collected garbage in a bag, dumped it near his house. The local said that they heard sound of four blasts in which about a dozen persons including Satish Kumar sustained burn injuries. The other injured included Arjun Kumar, Jogeshwar Sada, 5, son of Kare Sada, Rako Kumari, 4,, Sajan Kumar, 4, Raja Kumar, 5, Sunder Kumar, Ashok Sada, Monika Kumari, Ranjit Sada and Bijli Sada.
Khagaria DM Alok Ranjan Ghosh, SP, Amitesh Kumar, and SDPO Dharmendra Kumar reached the place of occurrence to get first hand information about the explosion. DM Alok Ranjan Ghosh that bomb disposal squad has been requisitioned and areas near the spot has been evacuated. SP Amitesh Kumar said that a special team will be probe into the incident.
