Bokaro SP asks DPS Bokaro students to be constructive

Bokaro ( Jharkhand ) :  In a move to inculcate leadership quality among the students, DPS Bokaro on July 20, 2018, conferred badges on the newly  elected  Student Council Office Bearers and at an investiture ceremony held on the School campus. Bokaro SP  Kartik S was the chief guest on this occasion.

In  an election held  earlier Soham Mohanty got elected for the post of Head Boy while  Stuti Taneja was elected as Head Girl. Musharaf Nasar and Samridh Ranjan were  elected  as Vice- Head Boys jointly while Rakhi and Tishya Viswanath were elected as Vice- Head Girls of the School. The Secretaries elected are : Shradha Mehndiratta, Raj Aayush and Varnit Shreeas, all Cultural Secretary; Sheetal Mishra and Yash Vardhan, Literary Secretary, Aman Arshad and Isha Shankar Siwani, Sports Secretary. They were presented their badges by the Chief Guest and the outgoing council members were given certificates for their outstanding work.

Chief Guest Kartik congratulated the newly elected members for their new roles and bigger responsibilities ahead. Throwing light on the characteristics and qualities of leaders, he said, “A leader should be visionary, considerate and benevolent. Proper communication skills are a prerequisite to a successful leadership. Elated to be a part of the event.” Kartik said it was nice to be a part of the ceremony and he was looking forward to associate with the school and its students.

Dr Hemlata S Mohan,  Director & Principal of DPS Bokaro, inspired the council members and students to do jutice to their new roles. She said, “The students today are going to become the citizens tomorrow and we believe every student has the potential to emerge as a leader and serve  the society.”

Vice Principals Pravin Sharma, Dr Manisha Tiwari, Headmaster Anjani Bhushan, Headmistresses Manisha Sharma and Shalini Sharma were also present along with the House wardens.
