Bokaro BJP MLA Viranchi, supporters allegedly assault BSL AGM Ajit Kumar

Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Taking law into his hands and showering filthy, BJP MLA from Bokaro in Jharkhand Viranchi Narain on July 16, 2019, allegedly assaulted BSL AGM Ajit Kumar as the senior officer stopped BJP supporters who were trying to convert a pond located at Sector 1 into Tiranga Park without taking a NOC from Bokaro Steel Plant. Ajit Kumar has been admitted to ICU, Bokaro General Hospital, with several injuries.

According to an eyewitness Arun Kumar Mahto, the incident took place around 1 pm when BJP supporters reached the BSL pond and started digging it. The AGM along with security guards reached the spot and asked them not to carry out any work without getting NOC from BSL. Hearing this, the BJP supporters called the MLA  who hardly stays 150 metres away from the place. After reaching the spot, Viranchi rushed forward and allegedly started beating the AGM who started running away with Homeguards Jawan to save themselves.

The MLA was seen assaulting the AGM who fell on the ground. Later, few BSL staffs reached the spot and rushed him to  the hospital. Fearingte fury of the people, the MLA later met Bokaro SP alleging that the AGM Kumar was at fault.

When contacted ,the AGM said after receiving complaint of encroachment, he rushed to the spot where he was mercilessly beaten by the MLA himself as well as his supporters. President, Bokaro Officers’ Association, A K Singh, said that they will be filing criminal case against the MLA and his supporters for beating a senior Member of the association senior.
