Body of missing child recovered from well in Bhojpur

Ara : Police recovered body of a three year old child Yuvraj Singh, son of Upendra Singh alias Dipu Singh of Mohanpur-Karja village under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district from a well of the village on January 3 and  brought it to Ara Sadar Hospital for post- mortem.

Some miscreants had kidnapped the child from the village a fortnight ago. An FIR was lodged with Barhara police station in this connection and police had requisitioned a sniffer dog from Patna but failed to locate the child.

Ganga Singh, uncle of the child, said at Ara Sadar Hospital that during panchayat elections, supporters of Upendra Singh, a mukhia aspirant, had heated exchange with supporters of another mukhia aspirant. He suspected that  rivalry during panchayat election claimed the life of the child.
