Patna: Vikas Kumar, son of Siwan BJP MLA and former minister Vyas Dev Prasad, and his four friends were arrested on July 2, 2018, morning, at village Vijaypur on Mairwa – Siwan road under Mairwa police station in Siwan district for carrying two liquor bottles in their car.
They were arrested during a vehicle checking drive. Police said that the arrested persons had o underfo Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) test in which 3 of them including Vikas Kumar tested negative. Siwan SP confirming the arrest of 5 persons said that police got their medical examination conducted. SHO, Mairwan police station, said that all of them were sent to jail for carrying liquor bottles in their vehicle.
All the 5 arrested persons told police that they were returning from Lucknow after attending a marriage ceremony. JD (U) spokesperson Dr Ajay Alok said that the law would take its own course and no one would be spared.
