Bike rider killed, two injured in accident in Bokaro

Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : A   young  motorcyclist was killed while his first cousin and his cousin’s wife got seriously injured in a road accident on Hindustan bridge at Phusro on July 10, 2017, morning, about 30 Km away from  Bokaro Steel City in Jharkhand.

Sujesh Mahto, 27, his  first cousin Shambhu  Mahto, 34, and Shambhu’s wife Kiran Devi, 31, were moving on one motorcycle being driven by Sujesh, when a truck coming from  opposite direction  dashed the two-wheeler on the bridge and escaped to an unknown destination. All the three bike riders were thrown off from the two- wheeler and fell on road bleeding profusely becoming unconscious.

Later, few eyewitness to the accident rushed  the trio to the Regional Central Hospital, Phusro, but as condition of Sujesh deteriorated, the hospital doctors referred him to Bokaro general hospital but he passed away while being taken there. All the three, residents of Central Colony, Phusro, were going to their village Rangamati falling under Kasmar block, about 20 Km away from where they lived. According to police  condition of the injured is still serious. They have been admitted to critical care unit of Phusro hospital.

A case has been lodged against the unknown truck driver with Bermo police station while police is trying to locate the truck along and its driver with the help of CCTV installed at major road points of Phusro township.
