Ara : Some unidentified miscreants shot at and injured a married woman near Badaki Nainijor Bridge under Nainijor police station (PS) in Buxar district on February 2, 2022, night, when she had gone to the field along with her sister-in-law to attend call of nature. She was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctors referred her to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in view of her precarious condition. The rReason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.
The injured was identified as Atma Devi, 25, wife of Pawan Tiwari of village Badaki Nainijor under Nainijor PS in Buxar Distric in South Bihart. An FIR has been lodged with NainijorPS in this connection. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
Atma Devi said at Ara Sadar Hospital that she along with her sister-in-law Meena Devi had gone to the field at the village to attend call of nature on February 2,2022, night, when three bike borne armed miscreants came and fired at her. A bullet hit her hand. The miscreants also fired at Meena Devi, who received a bullet in her breast in her bid to rescue her sister-in-law. Later, the miscreants fled away from the scene.
