Sitamarhi : Three unidentified motorcycle borne criminals fired three shots to terrorise a Sweet and Confectionery shop owner, a suspended Police Sub-Iinspector (SI) M Ali, and a Tailor master M Qaish on the main road of Sitamarhi Town in North Bihar on November 17, 2021, evening.
The three armed criminals first reached a Ssweet shop and started verbal tiff with its staff and then fired a shot from pistol there damaging the showcase. Thereafter, two of them escaped on foot through Madni Mushafirkhana lane. On seeing the SI they fired another a shot but he escaped.
The criminals then opened fire in the lane on a Tailor master but it missed the target. The SI was not in uniform as he is under suspension. The third criminal fled away on motorcycle towards NH. The place of occurrence falls under Mehsaul OP. The Sweet shop owner Abhay Kumar Singh said that no ransom was demanded from him and he has no enemy either.
Sadar SDPO Ramakant Upadyaya is leading the investigation team. The police have searched the CCTV footage and assured the locals of early arrest the three criminals. Police have seized an empty cartridge from the sweets shop.
