Buxar: Three unidentified bike borne miscreants snatched Rs 6.5 lakh on bypass road near Jyoti Prakash Chowk under Buxar Town police sation (PS) from owner of an electrical goods shop Jitendra Tripathy on June 18, 2021, late evening, at pistol point soon after returned after collecting dues from his customers from Ara and Bihia in Bhojpur district.

An FIR was lodged with Buxar Town PS in this connection. Police are investigating the matter. SHO, Buxar Town PS, Ranjeet Kumar, said that Jitendra Tripathy, owner of an electrical goods shop, had returned after collecting money from Ara and Bihia in Bhojpur District and as he entered his shop on bypass near Jyoti Prakash Chowk under Town PS, three armed miscreants entered the shops with him and snatched Rs 4 lakh cash from him and a gold chain from him and also looted Rs 2.5 lakh from the box besides the mobile phone of an employee at pistol point and escaped.

Jitendra Tripathy said that he runs an agency of electrical goods and has business in several districts. He had gone to Ara for collection in full knowledge of his employee in the morning. After collection in Ara, he went to Bihia for the same purpose in the evening the same day. He reached Buxar at about 10 pm on his Bolero where his employee was awaiting him. As he entered the agency along with the employee after parking his vehicle, three youth with their face covered followed him and looted Rs. 6.5 lakh cash and one gold chain from him and a mobile phone from his employee. He added that all the incidents were captured in the CCTV.
