Patna : Six criminals riding three bikes looted Rs 48 lakh cash from a cash-van of Allahabad Bank in Kadna Bazaar locality under Garkha police station in Saran District in North Bihar on February 27, 2019. The miscreants opened around 15 rounds in the air to terrorise the villagers and inured van driver with pistol butts before escaping with the booty.
Police said that as the cash-van reached busy Kadna Bazaar, six armed criminals attacked van driver and hit him with pistol butts causing injuries to him and snatched security guard Ashok Kumar Singh’s gun as he opened fire with is gun. Seeing  commotion near cash-van, a large number of people reached there and started pelting the criminals with stones. Finding themselves in surrounded by the villagers, the criminals fired over 15 rounds in the air and sped away from there with cash box containing Rs 48 lakh.
On getting information, Saran range DIG Vijay Kumar Sinha, Saran SP Harkishore Rai, and local DSP Ajay Kumar reached the spot to get first hand information about the cash loot.
