Muzaffarpur :  Two motorcycle borne criminals  looted Rs 24 lakh at gun point near Kachchi Pakki locality of under Sadar Police Station (PS), Muzaffarpur, in Muzaffarpur District in North Bihar, from a Cash Van in broad daylight on December 24, 2019, and escaped unchallenged  from the busy locality. The criminals also looted the rifle of the guard of the Cash Van.

DSP, Sadar, Ramnaresh Paswan, and  SHO, Sadar PS, Mithilesh Jha, reached at the place of occurrence  and  gathered information about the incident from driver of the cash van. A case  has been instituted in this regard by driver of the cash van. They alleged that two unidentified criminals  on a bike  stopped them and looted cash at gun point around 1 pm. DSP  Paswan said  that raids are being conducted  to nab the criminals.

It may be mentioned  here that  CM Nitish Kumar was  reviewing development schemes and law and order at collectorate  meeting hall with the DGP  of state and  IG, Muzaffarpur, while the criminals looted the cash in the Muzaffarpur.  Muzaffarpur SP,  who was present review meeting, rushed to the spot after getting information about the incident. According to reports,  the criminals opened two rounds fire  at the time of cash loot to scare away the people of the locality.

Muzaffarpur police  are yet to arrest the criminals  who had  committed dacoity at the shop of Pradip Bajauriya, a cloth merchant of Sutapatti and decamped with Rs 10 lakh  and some bundles of cloths on December 18, 2019.
