Darbhanga : Around seven bike borne criminals looted gold jewellery worth about Rs 5 crore from Alankar Jewellers under Town Police Station, Darbhanga, in Darbhanga District in North Bihar, in broard daylight on December 9, 2020, and escaped unchllenged. The criminals also fired several round in the air to terrorise the locals while speeding away from the spot.
Police reached the place of occurrence soon after the incident and are investigating into the incident. SHP, Town Police Station, Darbhanga, said that the incident took place around 11.30 am. The SHO confirmed that the criminals also fired several rounds to terrorise the people. He said that police had recovered seven blank cartridges from the spot. Police are investigating into the incident, the SHO said. He said that Jewellery shop is owned by Sunil Kumar Lat.
