Patna : A total of 824 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Bihar on January 31, 2022, up from 748 cases on January 30, taking the count of Active cases in Bihar to 4,723 on February 1, 2022. The Active cases count was 5,081 in the state on January 31, 2022.
Bihar also reported 2 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours, 1 each in Munger and Nalanda, taking the toll to 12,224 in the state on February 1, 2022.
The 824 new Covid-19 cases included 111 in Begusarai, 108 in Patna, 60 in Purnia, 53 in West Champaran, 47 in Muzaffarpur, 40 in Samastipur, 31 in Madhepura, 26 in East Champaran, 25 in Darbhanga, 24 in Saran, 24 in Vaishali, 23 in Madhubani, 23 in Gopalganj, and 4 from other states, according State Health Department figure. Bihar tested 1,50,101samples on January 31, 2022.
Bihar has logged 8,24,625 Covid-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic of which 8,07,677 patients have recovered including 1,180 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 97.94 % on February 1, 2022, from 97.90 % on January 31, 2022.
