Patna : Active cases count dropped to 81 in Bihar including 53 in Patna on December 17, 2021, down from 83 a day before, though 8 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on December 16, 2021. Only 5 persons had tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on December 15, 2021. Bihar, however, did not report any new death due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours and toll was standing at 12,093 in the state on December 17.
Bihar has logged 7,26,359 Covid-19 so far of which 7,14,184 patients have recovered including 10 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) standing at 98.32% on December 17, 2021. The state has tested 5,87,22,319 samples so far including 1,78,753 samples on December 16, 2021. The 8 new Covid-19 cases included 2 in Patna, 2 in Samastipur, 2 in Vaishali, and 1 each in Kishanganj and Saran.
