Patna : Coronavirus (COVID-19) increased to 7 in Bihar on May 13, 2020, morning, as a 56 year old woman from Alamganj, Patna, died due to the disease at Nalanda Medical College & Hospital (NMCH), Patna. She had no travel and contact history but had history of Carcinoma of Gallbladder, Obstructive Jaundice, Acute Renal Failure, and Multi Organ Failure.

She was referred by Mahavir Cancer Sansthan, Patna, on May 8, 2020, for COVID-19 test. She had tested Coronavirus positive on May 10, 2020. She was admitted to NMCH on May 8 itself.

Meanwhile, 53 more persons including 9 from Nawada District, 7 from Bhojpur, 6 from Bhagalpur, 4 each from Siwan, Banka and Patna, three each from Muzaffarpur, Khagaria, Begusarai, Rohtas, and Buxar, tested positive to Coronavirus in Bihar on May 13, 2020, taking the total to 932 in Bihar. Fifty-three persons have tested positive to Coronavirus so far in Bihar on May 13.

Of the 9 COVID-19 confirmed cases from Nawada, 8 were reported from Rajauli and one from Warsaliganj. Of the six cases from Bhagalpur, two each were reported from Narayanpur and Naugachhia, and one each from Nathnagar and Islampur. All the three cases from Khagaria were reported from Sadar, Khagaria.

In Bhojpur District, 7 confirmed cases were reported from Jagdishpur while in Muzaffarpur all the three cases were reported from Bandra. In Patna District, two cases were reported from Belchi and one each from Agamkuan and Rajabazar. In Siwan, three cases were reported from bhagwanpur and one from Basantpur. In Banka, three cases were reported from Dhoraiya and one from Rajoun. In Madhubani, one case was reported from Madhwapur.
