Patna : Covid-19 is assuming alarming proportion Bihar with 77 more persons testing positive for it on December 28, 2021, up from 47 a day before, taking the tally of Active cases in in the state to 215 including 103 in Patna. The Active cases count was 155 in Bihar on December 28, 2021.
Bihar, however, did not report any new death due to Covid-19 on December 29, 2021, and the toll remained static at 12,096 in the state including 2,789 in Patna, 621 in Muzaffarpur, 561 in Begusarai, and 527 in East Champaran.
The 77 new Covid-19 cases included 29 in Gaya, 26 in Patna, 4 in Jehanabad, 3 in Nalanda, 3 in Samastipur, 2 in Supaul, 2 in Muzaffarpur, and 1 each in Aurangabad, Darbhanga, Kishanganj, Sitamarhi, Siwan, Vaishali, and West Champaran, and 1 from other state, according to State Health Department figure.
Bihar has so far logged 7,26,606 Covid-19 cases of which 7,14,294 have recovered including including 17 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) slipping to 98.31% on December 29, 2021. The state has tested 6,05,84,090 samples so far including 169661 samples on December 28, 2021.
