Patna : A total of 748 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Bihar on January 30, 2022, down from 1,238 new cases on January 29, 2022, taking the total count of Active cases in the state to 5,081 on January 31, 2022. The Active cases count in the state was 6,557 on January 30, 2022. Bihar reported 1 new death due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 12,222 in the state including 2,831 in Patna.
The 748 new Covid-19 cases included 109 in Patna, 100 in Begusarai, 61 in Purnia, 39 in Saran, 34 in Vaishali, 32 in Madhepura,31 in West Champaran, 27 in Samastipur, 23 in Gopalganj, 23 in Msdhubani, 22 in Saharsa, 17 in Rohtas, 15 in Bhojpur, 12 in Munger, and 9 from other states, according to State Health Department figure. The state tested 1,01,917 samples on January 30, 2022.
Bihar has logged 8,23,801 Covid-19 cases cases since the outbreak of the pandemic of which 8,06,497 patients have recovered including 2,223 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate improving to 97.90 % on January 31, 2022, from 97.72 % on January 30, 2022.
