Patna :The Active cases count increased to 45 in Bihar including 23 in Patna on October 28, up from 40 a day before, as 6 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on October 27, 2021, up from 5 cases on October 26. Bihar did not report any new death due to Covid-19 during last 24 hours and the toss remained static at 9,661 in the state on October 28, 2021.
Bihar has logged 7,26,079 Covid-19 cases so far of which 7,16,372 patients have recovered including just 1 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) standing at 98.66% on October 28. The state has tested 4,98,79,683 samples so far including 2,25,145 samples on October 27, 2021. The 6 new Covid-19 cases included 2 in Patna, 2 in East Champaran, and 1 each in Araria and Nawada, according to State Health Department figure.
Meanwhile, a massive Covid-19 vaccination drive ( Mahabhiyan) was undertaken across the state by Bihar Government on October 28, 2021. Health Minster Mangal Pandey visited vaccination centres at Biharsharif in Nalanda District on the day and spoke to several beneficiaries.
