Bihar reports 6 Covid cases in last 24 hrs, Active cases count increase to 25

Patna : Active cases count increased to 25 in Bihar including 15 in Patna on December 5, 2021, as six more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state in last 24 hours, up from 1 case a day before. The Active cases count in the state was 21 on December 4, 2021.The 6 new Covid-19 cases included 4 in Patna, 1 in Araria, and 1 from other state.

Bihar has tested 5,67,95,409 samples so far including 1,82,526 samples on December 4, 2021. Altogether 714,121 Covid-19 patients have recovered till date in the state including 2 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) standing at 98.33% on December 5, 2021, according State Health Department figure.

Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on December 5, 2021, said that it has been ensured to conduct RTPCR tests of migrant Biharis and every passenger coming from abroad to Patna, Gaya, and Darbhanga airports. The sample of the passenger who is tested positive with RTPCR test with rapid antigen kit at the airport will be sent to IGIMS for genome sequencing.
