Patna : Bihar reported 5th death due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) on May 7, 2020. Coronavirus Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases climbed to 550 in Bihar with 8 more persons including a 70 year old man from Sasaram in Rohtas District, 60 year old man from Khajpura, Patna, a 56 year old man from Sasaram, and a 10 year old boy from Garhwa in Sheohar District testing positive to the disease on May 7, 2020.
A 42 year old man of Kishanganj Town and a 16 year old youth from Kharik in Bhagalpur district also tested positive to Coronavirus on the day. One COVIRD-19 confirmed case each was also reported from Aurangabad and Jehanabad Districts. Rohtas District has reported 54 confirmed cases till date.
Of the 550 COVID-19 confirmed cases, 246 have been cured/discharged, according to Principal Secretary, Health Department, Bihar Government, Sanjay Kumar. Incidentally, the Health Department did not specify from which place the 5th Coronavirus death was reported on May 7 in Bihar though Sanjay Kumar confirmed the death of 5th patient in the state. According to unconfirmed sources, the death was reported from Rohtas district.
