Patna : Active cases further dropped to 7,353 in Bihar including 862 in Patna on June 9 as just 589 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on June 8, 2021. The Active cases count in Bihar was 7,897 on June 8, 2021. Bihar also recorded 20 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 5,478 on June 9, 2021.
The 589 new Covid-19 cases included 57 in Supaul, 55 in Patna, 42 in Madhubani, 37 in Araria, 36 in Purnia, 25 in Saran, 24 in Muzaffarpur, 24 in Samastipur, 21 in Saharsa, 20 in Gopalganj, 19 in Darbhanga, 19 in Munger, and 19 in East Champaran. Bihar has tested 30876528 samples so far including 100196 samples on June 8, 2021.
Of the 7,15,179 Covid-19 cases reported till date in Bihar, altogether 6,98,397 patients have been declared cured including 1,114 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 97.65% on June 9 from 97.13% on June 8, 2021.
The 20 new deaths due to Covid-19 included 4 in Patna, 3 in Vaishali, 2 in East Champaran, 2 in Madhepura, and 2 in Katihar. With this, the toll climbed to 1,233 in Patna, 192 in Darbhanga, 135 in Supaul, 134 in East Champaran, 91 in Madhepura, 81 in Araria, 79 in Supaul, 73 in Arwal, 52 in Katihar, 46 in Gopalganj, 40 in Sheikhpura, 35 in Kishanganj, and 18 in Sheohar.
