Patna :A total of 4,551 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Bihar including 1,218 in Patna on January 17, 2022, up from 3,525 positive cases on January 16, 2022, taking the count of Active cases to 33,883 on January 18, 2022, The Active cases count was 33,122 in the state on January 17, 2022. Bihar also reported 4 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours including 2 in Nalanda, and 1 each in Patna and Gaya, taking the toll to 12,145 in the state on January 18, 2022.
The 4,551 new Covid-19 cases included 1,218 in Patna, 399 in Samastipur, 217 in Muzaffarpur, 192 in Begusarai, 192 in Purnia, 157 in Darbhanga,136 in Saran, 133 in Munger, 132 in Bhagalpur, 123 in Vaishali, 107 in Katihar, 107 in Nalanda, 101 in Madhepura, 95 in Madhubani, 86 in West Champaran, 75 in Banka, 67 in Sitamarhi, 64 in Araria, 64 in East Champaran, 62 in Jamui, 61 in Saharsa, 59 in Kishanganj, 56 in Buxar, 55 in Rohtas, 54 in Kaimur, 50 in Bhojpur, 49 in Arwal, 49 in Khagaria, 47 in Siwan, 44 in Gaya, 42 in Supaul, 38 in Gopalganj,36 in Lakhisarai, 32 in Jehanabad, 28 in Sheohar, 27 in Nawada, 8 in Sheikhpura, and 55 from other states, according to State Health DEpartment figure.
Bihar has logged 7,95,204 Covid-19 cases so far of which 7,49,175 patients have recovered including 3,786 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR standing at 94.21% on January 18, 2022. The state tested 1,54,010 samples on January 17, 2022.
