Patna :Active cases count dropped to 2,916 in Bihar on February 5, 2022, from 3,237 on February 4, 2022, as only 442 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state in last 24 hours. A total of 496 persons had tested positive for Covid-19 on the preceding day. Bihar reported 2 new deaths due to Covid-19 in lasr 24 hours including 1 each in Aurangabad and Vaishali taking the toll to 12,236 in the state on February 5, 2022.
The new 442 Covid-19 cases included 129 in Patna, 39 in Madhepura, 27 in Saharsa, 18 in Gopalganj, 18 in Purnia, 17 in West Champaran, 16 in Samastipur, 16 in Supaul, 15 in Muzaffarpur, 14 in Buxar, 11 in Bhojpur, 10 in Bhagalpur, 9 in East Champaran, 9 in Rohtas, 7 in Munger, 6 in Darbhanga, 4 in Nalanda, 3 in Madhubani, 1 in Jehanabad, 1 in Begusarai,1 in Gaya, and 3 in Madhubani, according to State Health Department figure. Bihar tested 1,36,443 samples on February 4, 2022.
Bihar has logged 8,27,017 Covid-19 cases since the outbreak of the pandemic of which 8,11,864 patients have recovered including 761 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.17 % on February 5, 2022, from 98.13 % on February 4, 2022.
