Patna : The Active cases count further dropped to 2,023 in Bihar on February 8, 2022, from 2,354. on February 7, 2022, as only 273 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state in last 24 hours. A total of 235 persons had tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on February 7.
Bihar, however, logged 4 news deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours including 3 in Patna and 1 in Siwan taking the toll to 12,243 on February 8, 2022, including 2,837 in Patna.
The 273 new Covid-19 cases included 54 in Patna, 23 in Purnia, 20 in Gopalganj, 18 in Madhepura, 17 in West Champaran, 16 in Vaishali, 12 in Saharsa, 10 in Muzaffarpur, 9 in Samastipur, 8 in Buxar, 8 in Siwan, 7 in East Champaran, 7 in Saran, 6 in Sitamarhi, and 5 in Katihar, according to State Health Department figure.The state tested 1,38,483 samples on February 7, 2022.
Biahr has recorded 8,27,829 Covid-19 cases since rhe outbreak of the pandemic of which 8,13,553 patients have recovered including 600 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.28 % on February 8, 2022, from 98.24 % on February 7, 2022.
