Patna : Active cases further declined to 788 in Bihar including 113 in Patna on July 12 as only 72 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on July 11, 2021, down from 136 the previous day. Active cases count in the state was 844 on July 11, 2021. Bihar registered one new death in Siwan due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,619 in the state on July 12, 2021.
A total of 7,23,355 Covid-19 cases have been recorded so far in Bihar of which 7,12,947 patients have been declared cured including 127 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.56 % on July 12, 2021. The state has tested 3,46,17,500 samples so far including 1,02,083 samples on July 11, 2021.
The 72 new Covid-19 cases included 9 in Patna, 7 in Darbhanga, 7 in Kishanganj, 5 in Saharsa, 5 in Supaul, 4 in Khagaria, 4 in Madhubani, 4 in Muzaffarpur, and 3 in Bhojpur.
Meanwhile, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar resumed his Janata Durbar after a gap of nearly five years and listened to health related problems including those concerning Covid-19 facing the people in the state.
