Patna : Altogether 662 more persons including 287 from Patna, 35 from Gaya, 31 from Bhagalpur, 30 from Jehanabad, 24 each from Muzaffarpur and Samastipur, 22 from Aurangabad, 15 from Rohtas, 14 each from Nawada and Saran, 12 from Vaishali, 1 each from Siwan and Begusarai, and 10 each from West Champaran and Nalanda tested positive for Covid-19 on April 1, 2021, taking the tally of Active cases in Bihar to 2,363 including 958 in Patna on April 2, 2021, from 1,907 cases on April 1, 2021.
According to State Health Department figure, 9 persons from Arwal, 8 from Araria, 7 from Buxar, 6 each from Sheikhpura and from Darbhanga, 5 each from east Champaran, Banka, Gopalganj, and Purnia, 4 each from Khagaria, Kishanganj, Munger, Saharsa, and Sitamarhi, 3 each from Kaimur and Madhepura, also tested positive for Covid-19 on April 1, 2021.
With this, the the number of Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar climbed to 2,66,677 cases on April 2, 2021, of 2,62,733 patients have been declared cured including 204 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) dropping to 98.52% on April 2 from 98.69% on April 1, 2021. Bihar has tested 2,38,25,578 samples so far including 63,846 samples on April 1, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,580 in Bihar on April 2, 2021, with one new death each being recorded in Vaishali and Nawada in last 24 hours. With it, the toll increased to 51 in Vaishali and 27 in Nawada.
