Patna : Bihar recorded 4th Coronavirus death on May 2, 2020, after a 45 year old man from Sitamarhi District in North Bihar died due to the disease at Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH), Patna, on the day. The patient from Sitamarhi was admitted to NMCH on April 30, 2020. He had returned to Sitamarhi from TMH, Mumbai, on April 28, 2020. He was in terminal stage of lung malignancy ( cancer) and died due tocardio-respiratory arrest, according to Principal Secretary, Health Department, Bihar Government, Sanjay Kumar.

Meanwhile, the number of Coronavirus confirmed cases jumped to 475 in Bihar on May 2, 2020, with 9 more persons including six women testing positive to the pandemic. Of the nine persons testing positive to Coronavirus, six belonged to Bhojpur District, two to Kaimur District, and one to Buxar District. The nine patients are in the age group of 1-50 year.

Of the six cases reported from Bhojpur, two(both women) were from Ara Town and one each from Sakaddi, Hanuman Tola, Bihia ( a one year old boy), and Jagdishpur.
