Patna : Active cases count in Bihar dropped to 434 on August 1, 2021, as only 45 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 across the state on July 31, 2021. Active cases count in the state was 456 on July 31. Bihar recorded 1 new death due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,644 on August 1.
Bihar has logged 7,24,880 Covid-19 cases so far of which 7,14,801 patients have been declared cured including 66 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 98.61%. Bihar has tested 3,74,98,366 samples so far including 1,46,571 samples on July 31, 31, 201.
The 45 new Covid-19 cases included 7 in Samastipur, 5 in Gaya, 4 in Patna, 4 in Araria, 3 in Kishanganj, 3in Madhubani, and 3 in Begusarai. The 1 new death due to Covid-19 was reported from Darbhanga. With this, the toll climbed to 365 in Darbhanga on August 1, 2021.
