Patna : Active cases climbed to 17,052 in Bihar including 6,749 in Patna on April 12, 2021, as 2,999 more persons including 1,197 from Patna, 184 from Gaya, 161 from Bhagalpur, 141 from Muzaffarpur, 116 from Samastipur, 102 from Begusarai, 91 from Nalanda, 75 from Saharsa, 67 from Saran, 65 from Gopalganj, 63 from Purnia, and 61 from Bhojpur tested positive for Covid-19 on April 11, 2021.
The 2,999 new Covid-19 cases also included 59 from Jehanabad, 58 from Buxar, 57 from Siwan, 54 from Munger, 37 from Vaishali, 36 from East Champaran, 31 from Lakhisarai, 29 from West Champaran, 26 from Rohtas, 25 from Darbhanga, 21 from Madhepura, and 17 from Madhubani.
Withe the Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar jumped to 2,86,228 on April 12, 2021, of which 2,67,559 cases have been declared cured including 636 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) further dropping to 93.48% on April 12 from 94.24% on April 11, 2021. Bihar has tested 2,46,49,983 samples so far including 80,018 samples on April 11, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,616 in Bihar with 6 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 1 each in Patna, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Siwan, Banka, and Bhojpur. With this, the toll increased to 474 in Patna, 90 in Bhagalpur, 66 in Gaya, 50 in Bhojpur, 37 in Siwan, and 23 in Banka.
