Patna : Active cases dropped to 2,704 in Bihar including 377 in Patna on June 23 as 298 more persons tested positive to Covid-19 in the state on June 22, 2021. The Active cases count was 2,810 in Bihar on June 22, 2021. A total of 268 persons had tested Covid-19 positive in the state on June 22, 2021. The state recorded 6 new deathys due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the tally to 9,569 on June 23, 2021.
Of the 7,20,505 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in the state, a total of 7,08,231 patients have been declared cured till date including 398 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.30% on June 23 from 98.28% on June 22, 2021. Bihar has tested 3,23,96,709 samples so far including 106652 samples on June 22, 2021.
The 298 new Covid-19 cases included 71 in Patna, 17 in Muzaffarpur, 17 in Saran, 15 in Lakhisarai, 15 in Saharsa, 14 in Darbhanga, 12 in Samastipur, 12 in madhepura, 11 in East Champaran, 11 in Gopalganj, 10 in Purnia, 10 in Begusarai, and 8 in Siwan.
The 6 new deaths due to Covid-19 included 2 in Patna, and 1 each in Muzaffarpur, Sheikhpura, Bhagalpur, and Buxar. With it, the toll climbed to 2,320 in Patna, 617 in Muzaffarpur, 308 in Bhagalpur, 181 in Buxar, and 75 in Sheikhpura.
