Patna : Active cases further dropped to 10,308 in Bihar including 1,298 in Patna on June 4, 2021, as only 991 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on June 3, 2021. The Active cases count in Bihar on June 3, 2021, was 11,430. Bihar recorded 23 new deaths due to Covid-19 on June 4, 2021, taking the tally to 5,319 in the state.
The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients further improved to 97.80% in Bihar on June 4 from 97.64% on June 3, 2021. Meanwhile, the state received 80 more Oxygen Concentrators from Government of India on June 4, 2021.
The 991 new Covid-19 cases reported in the state included 143 in Patna, 55 in Samastipur, 52 in Araria, 51 in Purnia, 51 in Siwan, 47 in Muzaffarpur, 46 in Supaul, 41 in Saran, 40 in East Champaran, 34 in Mdhubani, 31 in Munger, 28 in Madhepura, 27 in Kishanganj, 25 in Khagaria, 23 in Darbhanga, and 20 Sitamarhi.
The state has tested 3,03,50,360 samples so far including 1,13,446 samples on June 3, 2021. Of the 7,11,190 Covid-19 cases reported so far in Bihar, a total of 6,95,562 patients have been declared cured including 2,090 in last 24 hours.
The 23 new deaths due to Covid-19 included 3 in Patna, 2 in Madhubani, 2 in Bhagalpur, 2 in Nalanda, 2 in Samastipur, 2 in Saran, and 2 in Sitamarhi. With it the toll climbed to 1,211 in Patna, 327 in West Champaran, 266 in Bhagalpur, 238 in Nalanda, 213 in Saran, 187 in Darbhanga, 149 in Mahubani, 128 in Vaishali, 105 in Nawada, 104 in Samastipur, 85 in Sitamarhi, 83 in Buxar, 75 in Supaul, 56 in Arwal, and 45 in Gopalganj.
