Patna : Active cases dropped to 781 in Bihar including 109 in Patna on July 16 after only 90 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 on July 15, 2021, down from 125 cases on the previous day. Active cases count was 796 in the state on July 15, 2021. Bihar recorded 1 new death in Samastipur due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,626 in the state on July 16, 2021.
The state has so far recorded 7,23,785 Covid-19 cases of which 7,13,377 patients have been declared cured including 104 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 98.56%. Bihar has tested 3,51,17,677 samples so far including 1,35,186 samples on July 15, 2021.
The 90 new Covid-19 cases included 8 in Patna, 8 in East Champaran, 7 in Rohtas, 6 in Bhagalpur, 5 in Khagaria, 5 in Samastipur, 4 in Begusarai, 3 in Arwal, 3 in Muzaffarpur, 3 in Darbhanga, 3 in Saharsa, 3 in Supaul, and 3 in Gaya.
Meanwhile,Bihar Government has upgraded the EmergencyWard of Patna Medical College & Hospital (PMCH). State Health Minister (HM) Mangal Pandey inspected the upgraded ward on July 15, 2021.
