Patna : Active cases further declined to 865 in Bihar including 138 in Patna on July 10 as only 87 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on July 9, 2021, down from 95 on the previous day. The Active cases count in Bihar was 1,018 on July 9, 2021. Bihar also recorded 4 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,618 in the state on July 10, 2021.
Bihar has so far registered 7,23,147 Covid-19 cases of which 712663 patients have been declared cured including 236 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.55% on July 10, 2021. The state has so far tested 3,43,91,349 samples including 1,31,084 samples on July 9, 2021.
The 87 new Covid-19 cases included 13 in patna, 13 in Purnia, 8 in Samastipur, 6 in Saran, 5 in Araria, 4 in Darbhanga, 3 in East Champaran, 3 in Khagaria, and 3 in Muzaffarpur.
The 4 new deaths due to Covid-19 included 2 in patna, and 1 each in Saran and Darbhanga. With it, the toll climbed to 2,326 in Patna, 361 in Darbhanga, and 254 in Saran.
Meanwhile, boats have been pressed into service in some areas in North Bihar including Muzaffarpur to carry out Covid vaccination flood affected areas. These boats are known as ‘Dedicated Boats’ ( Tikawali Nao).
