Patna : Active cases dropped to 754 in Bihar including 102 in Patna on July 17 as only 79 more persons testedpositive for Covid-19 in the state on July 16, 2021, down from 90 on the previous day. Active cases count in Bihar on July 16, 2021, was 781. Bihar recorded 1 new death due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours in Madhubani taking the toll to 9,627 in the state.
Bihar has recorded 7,23,864 Covid-19 cases so far of which 7,13,482 have been declared cured including 105 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.57% on July 17, 2021. The state has tested 3,52,50,772 samples so far including 1,33,095 samples on July 16, 2021.
The 79 new Covid-19 cases included 9 in Khagaria, 7 in Saharsa, 6 in Patna, 5 in Nalanda, 4 in Bhojpur, 4 in Kishanganj, 4 in Muzaffarpur, 4 in Purnia, 3 in Rohtas, 3 in Samastipur, and 3 in Supaul.
